Wallachian Horror
Song info: this song was inspired by Vlad III. He is most famous for being the source of the legend of Dracula, but his real life deeds are just as horrifying as the fictional vampire. Also known as Vlad the Impaler, Vlad Dracula, and Vlad Tepes, he impaled enemy soldiers, criminals, and prisoners. Although many view him as a cruel tyrant, he is sometimes considered a hero to his native land. "Kazikli Bey", the last line of the song, is what the Ottomans called Vlad; it means "Impaler Prince".
In the initial recording of the song, a cymbal crash came on the fourth beat of every other measure during the main riff. This made recording a nightmare. The mistake wasn't caught until after tracks were made.

Lyrics
A dragon sits in his castle His bloodshot eyes watch the dead writhe A forest of flesh in his midst The condemned impaled upon stakes The devil sits upon his throne His thirst for blood is never quenched His foes’ corpses reach for the sky Their souls plunge to the depths of Hell Wallachian horror Son of the dragon Wallachian horror Voyvoda A prince watches his soldiers kill Slaughter in the name of the lord The invaders flee in terror At the sight of rotting carrion Wallachian horror Son of the Devil Wallachian horror Kazıklı Bey |
