Evil Lurks
Song info: this song is about modern day serial killers. Many of the most famous and prolific serial killers worked from the early-70's to mid-90's, and there is a belief that the number of people they killed can't be matched due to today's forensics and surveillance. While people like Corll and Gacy may not be topped, there are quite a few out there who've proven that serial killers aren't a thing of the past. There are numerous cases that inspired this song, such as Bruce McArthur and Takahiro Shiraishi.
Lyrics
As decades have passed, the latent fear has subsided
And sheep believe to caves, the wolves have slept
But all around, the bloodlust is profound
Evil still lurks; it's waiting to be found
From the man in the car who watches you from afar
Or the woman laced in sin who strikes you with a toxic pin
Evil lurks in many forms, there is no face it can't adorn
Men and women all like, murder is just a part of life
Lock your doors or they'll go in to fulfill their murderous sin
You'll try to run, you'll try to hide, but they will ensure that you die
If they catch you in your bed, they'll butcher you and take your head
Evil lurks and always will, and it will always drive to kill
